TORONTO, ON – Liban Hassan, a Toronto District School Board Trustee and housing policy professional, is your Ontario Liberal candidate for Humber River—Black Creek.
“As a school board trustee, Liban has dedicated his career to delivering more for our students and ensuring educators have the supports they need to foster inclusive and successful classrooms.
“Liban is a fantastic representative for his community, and I am excited to have him on our team as we prepare for the next provincial election!”
— Bonnie Crombie, Leader of Ontario’s Liberals
“I’ve seen firsthand the damage Doug Ford’s cuts have done to Ontario’s public education system since 2018. His government has underfunded our schools by $1,500 per student every year. Classrooms are overcrowded, vital programs are disappearing, and students are being left behind—all because Doug Ford prioritizes tax breaks for the wealthy over investing in our kids’ futures.
“Enough is enough. I’m proud to support Bonnie Crombie’s vision for Ontario. Together, we’ll rebuild a strong public education system, invest in our students and teachers, and create opportunities for every child to succeed. It’s time to put your family first and fix what Doug Ford has broken.”
