Liberals in Windsor West Nominate Linda McCurdy as 2022 Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

June 9, 2021 – Liberals in Windsor West have nominated Linda McCurdy, a lawyer and community advocate, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“Linda is a strong leader for her community who works tirelessly to improve the lives of those who call Windsor West home,” said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “Linda will be a fantastic MPP and I am very glad to have her on our team as we prepare to take on Doug Ford in the next provincial election.”

McCurdy is a Lawyer and the co-owner of Windsor Essex County’s only dedicated All Star Competitive Cheerleading gym, North Star Cheer Inc. She holds a BA from the University of Texas at El Paso; an LLB from the University of Windsor and a JD, Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree, from the University of Detroit Mercy.

Born and raised in Windsor Ontario, McCurdy grew up in a family where community and public service was the norm. Currently, she is a sole practitioner practicing in the areas of Criminal and Child Protection. She is also involved in several community organizations and is a member of a consulting group that works with Equity and Diversity.

“I am honoured to be the Liberal Candidate for the upcoming Provincial election,” said McCurdy. “Winning does not mean getting a front row seat to watch what happens in the Legislature, it means pulling that seat up to the table to make sure that the concerns of the people in Windsor West are a part of the conversation.”
