Liberals in Mississauga Centre Nominate Sumira Malik as 2022 Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

Liberals in Mississauga Centre have nominated Sumira Malik, a passionate advocate for mental health and a community volunteer, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the 2022 provincial election.

“I’m happy to welcome Sumira Malik as our newest 2022 Ontario Liberal Party candidate,” said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “She is a passionate advocate who will make a strong fighter for Mississauga Centre at Queen’s Park.”

Malik is an advocate for mental health and she was a research assistant for a primary researcher at Harvard University. She has volunteered in hospitals, clinics, homeless shelters, food banks and charitable organizations since she was young and has a passion for being a helping hand in the world.

“I am thankful for this unique opportunity,” said Malik. “30 under 30 has provided me with a platform as a young person to help implement change. I am very proud to represent the various communities in Mississauga Center in the upcoming election. I am looking forward to working with the Ontario Liberal team and party leader Steven Del Duca.”
