July 12, 2021 – Liberals in Aurora—Oak Ridges—Richmond Hill have nominated Marjan Kasirlou, a Registered Nurse and community leader, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“Marjan is a passionate leader who understands the need to strengthen our healthcare and publicly funded education systems,” said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “I am very happy to have Marjan on our team as we take on Doug Ford and his agenda of reckless cuts.”

Kasirlou is an Iranian-Canadian and an Internationally Educated Nurse, who moved to Canada with her family to create a new home in Aurora—Oak Ridges—Richmond Hill. A community leader, Kasirlou now helps mentor other newcomers and immigrants to reach their full potential.

“Doug Ford’s cuts and irresponsible leadership must come to an end,” said Kasirlou. “I will be a strong voice for the people of Aurora—Oak Ridges—Richmond Hill, aiming to leverage politics to provide equitable access to resources and to improve the lives of Ontarians.”
