Doug Ford’s Budget Betrayal

Today Doug Ford released a Budget that betrays every Ontarian. It has none of the crucial investments we desperately need to protect our families from a fierce second wave of COVID-19.

Doug Ford’s budget does nothing to protect our parents and grandparents in nursing homes and nothing to protect our kids stuffed into crowded classrooms.

This budget betrays women and those who are Black, Indigenous or people of colour, who’ve been hit hardest by the COVID-19 recession.

Ontario needs a recovery plan that ensures we can help those that need it most. An Ontario Liberal government would have made sure recovery measures were targeted at those most in need of a helping hand. We need to come out of this recovery stronger than ever before.

Doug Ford’s budget has betrayed the trust of Ontarians, because he isn’t focused on you or your family. His priority is rewarding his friends like the bigot Charles McVety, and he’s so preoccupied with forcing those appalling rewards through the legislature that he’s forgotten the people he is supposed to serve as Premier.

Doug Ford’s budget is nothing short of a betrayal of everyday Ontarians, and confirmation that he is not fit to serve us.

You and your family deserve better than Doug Ford.

Sincerely,

Steven
