Liberals in Ottawa West—Nepean Nominate Sam Bhalesar as 2022 Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

November 6, 2021 – Liberals in Ottawa West—Nepean have nominated Sam Bhalesar, a public servant and strong community leader, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“Sam is a tireless advocate for her community committed to making life better for families in Ottawa West—Nepean,” said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “Sam will be a fantastic MPP and I am thrilled to have her on the team.”

Sam Bhalesar was born and raised in Ontario, and understands deeply the frustration many feel with the current provincial government. With 30 years of political experience and a university education specializing in business and political science, Bhalesar will work tirelessly for families, children, and a health care system that supports our most vulnerable seniors.

Currently, Bhalesar is a Senior Communications Advisor at the Government of Canada, and also holds the position of Secretary for the Liberal Party of Canada.

“I am honoured to stand as the Ontario Liberal Party Candidate for Ottawa West—Nepean, a very unique, multicultural and special community,” said Bhalesar. “I will work hard every day to support the great people of Ottawa West—Nepean. For me, this is about building a stronger community and stopping Doug Ford who is taking this province backwards.”
