TORONTO – Steven Del Duca, Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party, issued the following statement:
“Ontarians are lining up for hours to get a COVID-19 test. Case counts are going up. But aside from lectures from the podium, Doug Ford has no plan for a second wave.”
“We knew for months that children would be returning to school in September. We knew there would need to be more testing capacity. But somehow, Doug Ford was caught utterly unprepared.”
“Testing sites are reaching capacity at 9 AM. Moms and Dads are losing their entire day standing in line to get their child tested. While Ontarians are stepping up, Doug Ford is missing in action.”
“Doug Ford needs to sit down and get to work. He needs to cancel his photo ops until a second wave plan can be shown to Ontarians. Nothing else is more important than our health.”
