Steven Del Duca makes Statement for Icelandic National Day

Today we join Icelandic communities in Ontario and all around the world in celebrating Icelandic National Day!

On this day in 1944, the Republic of Iceland was established after centuries of Danish rule.

While celebrations today are not the way we are used to, we know that Icelandic Ontarians are proud and hardworking, and we celebrate their contributions to this province.

We look forward to once again celebrating the Lady of the Mountain, who represents the fierce spirit of Iceland.

On behalf of the Ontario Liberal Party I wish a very happy Icelandic National Day to all of those celebrating!
