Steven Del Duca issues statement to commemorate Armenian Genocide

Today, we join Ontario’s Armenian community in remembering the victims of the Armenian genocide. We have set aside this day to remember a tragedy that must never be allowed to unfold again.

Our Armenian community contributes so much to the fabric of our province. Many of those families are descendants of those ravaged by violence in what was truly an unjust and horrific event.

Today let us commit to peace and to honouring the memories of the victims.

Genocide must never again be allowed to take place – that is why we must always remember these events. Never again requires us to always remember.
