Steven Del Duca issues statement for Vaisakhi

From Steven Del Duca, Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party:

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

Today is Vaisakhi, the holiest day for Ontario’s Sikh community. Ontario’s Sikhs have made great contributions. We are truly blessed by the large Sikh population we have in the province.

I have always been impressed by the good works of our Sikh community. Gurdwaras have always taken in those in need and the community has stepped up time and time again.

In our time of crisis, the Sikh community has truly embraced Langer – in a great time of need the Sikh community is sharing with those who need help the most.

I know this year Vaisakhi is different, but we must do everything we can to protect our most vulnerable. I hope that next year I can once again attend Vaisakhi parades and celebrate with the Sikh community in person.

On behalf of all Ontario Liberals, have a happy Vaisakhi!
