Statement on the Bay of Quinte By-Election

BELLEVILLE, ON – The Ontario Liberal Party’s Press Secretary, Carter Brownlee, released the following statement in response to the Bay of Quinte By-Election:

“Families in Bay of Quinte deserve better than Ford’s handpicked insider candidate. Time and time again, the Conservatives put their rich friends first, and everyone else last.

“It’s why the Belleville Hospital has the province’s second-highest emergency room wait time.

“You deserve more from Queen’s Park—and Ontario’s Liberals are going to field a candidate who will do just that.

“The people of the Bay of Quinte will have a chance to tell Doug Ford enough is enough.

“Enough with short-staffed emergency rooms. Enough neglect of the opioid crisis. And enough with an Ontario where only the rich and well-connected get ahead.”
