Statement from Ontario Liberal Leader, Steven Del Duca on the discovery of unmarked graves at Cowessess First Nation

TORONTO – Steven Del Duca, Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party, issued the following statement:

“My heart breaks for all Indigenous Peoples today, especially the survivors of residential schools, and the families of the 751 people found in an unmarked grave at the site of the Cowessess First Nation. The world is watching. We must do a thorough investigation of each residential school site, and restore Ontario’s curriculum changes to make sure the stories are told and history can never repeat itself.”
