Statement from Bonnie Crombie on Ford’s Cabinet Shuffle

QUEEN’S PARK — Bonnie Crombie, Leader of Ontario’s Liberals, has released the following statement:

“Doug Ford fired his failed cabinet in a blatant attempt to distract from his billion dollar booze boondoggle.

“Changing his Cabinet, does not mean he’s changed his ways. Ontarians are fed up with Ford spending more of their money, and doing less for them. Less for health care to keep ERs open, less for kids in classrooms, and less to make life more affordable for families struggling to make ends meet.

“Just when things are hardest for Ontario families, Ford cuts off the legislative session early to play musical chairs with his Cabinet. He’s running off to the cottage, while desperately trying to distract from his billion dollar handout to multinational breweries and grocery store billionaires.

“To top it all off, the fall guy of the $8.3 billion Greenbelt scandal, Steve Clark, is back on the front bench of Doug Ford’s government.

“Doug Ford is keeping his friends close, and his cronies even closer. He’s created the biggest cabinet in history – using your money – and he only included nine women.

“Is this really who we want leading our province?”
