Remembrance Day

Steven Del Duca, Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party, issued the following statement:

“Today, as we do every year, Canadians from coast to coast will pause to remember the incredible sacrifices made by the women and men who have served – and continue to serve –  in our Armed Forces, and who have defended the freedoms that we enjoy today.

On Remembrance Day, we reflect and show our unwavering respect for those we have lost, on battlefields around the world.

Sons and daughters, moms and dads, brothers and sisters who paid the ultimate price and never came home.

We thank them for their service, for their dedication and for their valour.

They will remain in our thoughts, and in our hearts, both on this special day of remembrance and on every day as we live with the freedom that they fought for.

At 11 AM we will observe a moment of silence to remember.

We may be physically apart this year but I know that we will be  together in fellowship, united in our admiration for those we have lost, to honour them and always, to remember.

Lest we forget.”
