Operational Committees

The following approved Operational Committees will be in place along with the other committees as outlined in the Constitution of the Ontario Liberal Party. The term of their mandate will be aligned with those in the Constitution and cease upon the election of a new Executive Council. At the time a new Executive Council is elected, it will be determined that whether their mandates should be renewed.

While each Operational Committee has an Executive Council Representative and OLP Team Lead, others are welcome.

Social Media
Executive Council Rep – Patricia Favre
OLP Team Lead – Jordan Ray

As the Ontario Liberal Party looks to build an online presence and allow for open dialogue with people across the province, the purpose and goals of this operational sub-committee of “Social Media” are: build a network of individuals across the province organized by region to share and distribute the messages of OLP; to encourage open dialogue with residents of the province.

This sub-committee would look to develop specific, realistic and achievable goals on benchmark dates, with follow up against these goals. The organizational structure of this group, is to be determined by the Executive Council Rep and Team Lead.

Reporting on successes would occur each month, back to Executive Council.

Organization “124”
Executive Council Rep – Pierre Cyr
OLP Team Lead – Jordan Ray, Dave Hehn

As the Ontario Liberal Party works to connect with people across the province, the vibrant health of our Provincial Liberal Associations are the foundation to our operational success. The Organization “124” Committee’s goals are to establish full contact information of all volunteers serving on their PLA’s, undergo a “health check” of each PLA, develop specific, realistic and achievable goals on benchmark dates, and “twin” with a neighbouring PLA.

The Executive Council Representative will strike a committee and operationalize the work until our AGM.

Reporting will occur each month, back to Executive Council.

Fundraising Outreach
Executive Council Rep – Brian Johns, Ian Hall
OLP Team Lead – Deb Roberts, Theresa Lubowitz

As the Ontario Liberal Party works to develop an expansive sustainable individual giving program, the Fundraising Outreach Committee will work to meet their portion of revenue generation goals as set out by the Director of Finance and Treasurer. They will work to achieve and exceed their goals through event driven fundraisers and stakeholder engagement. Further, all of their touch points would then feed into our database whereby individuals are tagged appropriately, along with donor appreciation completing the operational loop.

The Executive Council Representatives will strike a committee and operationalize the work until our AGM.

Reporting will occur each month, back to Executive Council.

Engagement (Inclusivity)
Executive Council Rep – Omar Khan
OLP Team Lead – Deb Roberts

As the Ontario Liberal Party works to connect with people across the province, the Engagement Committee’s primary responsibility is to create an operational infrastructure that helps to remove barriers that may exist when making these connections.

The Executive Council Representative will work with the OLP Team Lead to enlist multiple Co-Chairs for this Committee, while allowing this group to determine what their own unique operational infrastructure could look like in removing these barriers.

Reporting of their efforts will occur each month, back to Executive Council.

AGM
Executive Council Rep – Brian Johns
OLP Team Lead – Deb Roberts, Kelly Legris

The AGM Committee will look to implement two co-chairs for the event, and work to reflect Ontario Liberals of all generations. This committee will bring forward an operation plan and outline that supports the theme of rebuilding and “next”.

Reporting of their efforts will occur each month, back to Executive Council.

Regional Boundary and Area Co-Ordinator Review
Executive Council Rep – Ryan Singh
OLP Team Leads – Deb Roberts, Jack Siegel

This group will work to provide comments on existing and possible new regional boundary alignments. Further, this group will look to review the opportunity of Area Coordinators and on the best method of selecting and implementing these roles. This group is to provide a recommendation to the Constitutional Committee no later than the end of February, so that the Constitutional Committee can make their recommendation in advance of circulating documentation for Provincial Council.

This group will be comprised of stakeholders based upon both the Executive Council Rep and OLP Team Leads.

This group will cease, upon it’s mandate being served.
