Ontario Liberals in Kitchener Centre Ready to Send Local Champion to Queen’s Park

KITCHENER, ON – Ahead of the first official day of campaigning for the Kitchener Centre by-election, Ontario Liberals stand united behind candidate Kelly Steiss, a respected management professional with a track record extending over two decades of public service to Kitchener’s residents.

“This by-election is an opportunity for Ontarians to send Doug Ford a message, and to elect an MPP who truly understands the need to put people first — not billionaire insiders,” said MPP John Fraser, Interim Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party.

“Kelly Steiss has spent a lifetime of service to the residents of Kitchener Centre, and has the experience and drive needed to be a phenomenal MPP,” added MPP Fraser. “We are lucky to have Kelly on our team and I look forward to welcoming her to Queen’s Park.”

Steiss was first nominated as the Ontario Liberal candidate on June 5, 2023, and since then, with the help of local volunteers and Ontario Liberals from all across the province, has already connected with thousands of residents in her community.

“Families in Kitchener Centre are looking for a leader who will work tirelessly to make their lives easier,” said Steiss. “As your MPP, I will fight to tackle the healthcare and affordability crises head-on, and champion innovative solutions that will build a better future for Ontarians and those that call Kitchener home.”

“I look forward to continuing the hard work of going door to door to meet with the families in our community, and having meaningful conversations about what matters the most to them,” added Steiss.
