Ontario Liberals Announce Updated Critic Roles

QUEEN’S PARK – John Fraser, Interim Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party and MPP for Ottawa South, has announced updated critic roles for the Ontario Liberal caucus leading into the return of the legislature.

“We have an excellent team returning to Queen’s Park, and I am excited to have Andrea Hazell and Karen McCrimmon join us in the Legislature following their victories over the summer,” said MPP John Fraser. “Andrea and Karen are proven fighters who have always been champions for their communities, and will be instrumental in our fight for a fairer Ontario.”

“This legislative session, Ontario Liberals will remain focused on holding the Conservatives accountable for their mismanagement of our province, and fighting to get to the bottom of Doug Ford’s $8.3 billion Greenbelt Giveaway,” added MPP Fraser.

Included in the updated critic roles are two new portfolios: Premier’s Office and Accountability, and Children’s Health.

“Since Doug Ford took office, it has become abundantly clear that he is more interested in giving large handouts to his friends and fundraisers, than working to make life better for Ontario families,” added MPP Fraser. “We’ve also seen how paediatric wait times and transitions have been a persistent problem that deserves particular attention.”

“Ontario Liberals will continue to fight for the strong services and the better future families deserve, while holding the government to account and ensuring Doug Ford upholds his responsibility to make decisions that benefit all Ontarians,” concluded MPP Fraser.
