Ontario Liberal Party Nominates Current MPP, Mitzie Hunter as 2022 Candidate for Scarborough—Guildwood

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

August 1, 2020 – Liberals in Scarborough—Guildwood have nominated Mitzie Hunter, current MPP and Liberal critic for Finance, Treasury Board, Energy, and Democratic Renewal and Electoral Reform, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the 2022 provincial election.

“I am delighted Mitzie is putting her name on the ballot once again,” said OLP leader, Steven Del Duca. “Mitzie has been a great advocate for Scarborough—Guildwood, and I know she’ll continue working hard for her community.”

Before entering politics, Hunter worked to solve some of our toughest social, economic, and environmental challenges, as the former CEO of the Greater Toronto Civic Action Alliance. Hunter grew up in Scarborough, graduated from the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus with a BA, and completed her MBA from the Rotman School of Management.

“Having grown up in Scarborough and receiving my undergraduate education at UTSC, representing Scarborough-Guildwood at Queen’s Park has been the honour of my life,” said Hunter. “I’m very grateful to have been nominated to serve the community that shaped me for a fourth term.”
