Born and raised in North York, Vince lives in Eglinton-Lawrence with his wife and two daughters, where they are deeply rooted in our neighbourhood. As a proud Ontarian, born to Italian-Canadian parents, Vince’s commitment to our community is unwavering.
With over 20 years experience in finance and government, Vince Gasparro has been a driving force behind climate finance investments that have benefited our country and economy.
As the Head of Sustainable Finance at Scotiabank’s Roynat Capital and Vancity – Canada’s largest Credit Union – Vince supported and financed crucial clean energy infrastructure projects. In addition to his work in finance, he served as Principal Secretary to Toronto Mayor John Tory and as a Special Assistant to Prime Minister Paul Martin.
Throughout his career, Vince has always been engaged in environmental action, including representing our interest on Canada’s official delegation to the United Nations climate conferences at COP26 in the United Kingdom, COP27 in Egypt, and COP28 in the UAE.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the World Wildlife Fund – Canada, and Postmedia. He has previously served on the board of the Canada Infrastructure Bank and Toronto Community Housing Corporation.
