Liberals in Essex Nominate Manpreet Brar as 2022 Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

August 5, 2021 – Liberals in Essex have nominated Manpreet Brar, a community leader and advocate, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“Manpreet is a strong advocate for her community who continues to fight for a more inclusive Ontario and better services for the residents of Essex,” said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “Manpreet will be an excellent representative at Queen’s Park, and I am very happy to have her on our team as we prepare for the next provincial election.”

After growing up in Malton, Ontario, Brar moved to LaSalle in 1997. Brar chose Essex County as the place to raise her family because of its strong sense of community, shared values, and inclusivity. It is this sense of unity and pride in her community that led Brar to seek the nomination as the Ontario Liberal Candidate for Essex.

Brar has been actively involved in the community all throughout her life, and having both of her children grow up and go to school in Essex County has allowed her to become connected with other parents and families. She is a passionate advocate for youth involvement and engagement, and as MPP, Brar will ensure that youth in Essex have the resources they need to be successful.

“I am delighted to be nominated as the Liberal candidate for Essex,” said Brar. “Steven Del Duca is leading by example by promoting the importance of diversity and inclusivity within our province, which I am a strong advocate for myself. I know that under his leadership, we will be able to build a safer and better Ontario.”
