The Ontario Liberal Party’s largest-ever leadership election came to a conclusion on Saturday, December 2, 2023, when we gathered at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre to announce Bonnie Crombie as our new Leader, and Ontario’s next Premier.

Following our membership’s decision to move to a direct voting system in March, the Ontario Liberal Party is excited to share details of what will be our most inclusive and accessible leadership process – ever.

• Party members will cast ranked ballots on Saturday, November 25, 2023 and Sunday, November 26, 2023.

• Voting will be available in-person for almost all constituency associations, student clubs, and women’s clubs, with a small number voting by mail.

• Ballot counting, the announcement of round-by-round results, and the announcement of the OLP’s new Leader, will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Tickets will be available for purchase for party members. More information about tickets will be coming soon.

• The final date to join the Ontario Liberal Party, as a member of a constituency association or women’s club, and be eligible to vote in the leadership election, was Monday, September 11, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. local Toronto time

• The final date to join the Ontario Liberal Party, as a member of a student club, and be eligible to vote in the leadership election, was Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. local Toronto time.

• During the leadership election, the Party will also host five debates around the province. Dates and locations for these debates are listed below.
