Happy New Year from the Ontario Liberal Party

TORONTO – Ontario Liberal Leader, Steven Del Duca issued the following statement:

“There’s no sugar coating how difficult 2021 was for so many of us. I think we all hoped we would be in a different place by December with the ongoing COVID crisis.

But what stands out to me is the incredible resilience Ontarians showed. Through some of the most difficult days in this province, Ontarians stepped up in a big way to help one another.

Health care workers risked it all to keep our hospitals functioning. Education workers pivoted more than once to make in-person and virtual learning work for our kids. A group of volunteers at Vaccine Hunters Canada helped get millions of us vaccinated. We all stepped up.

In 2021, we showed incredible resolve and overcame so many challenges. And the good news is that 2022 has a lot of promise, finally giving Ontarians the chance to put this province on course and moving forward again.

On behalf of my family and the Ontario Liberal Party, I want to thank all Ontarians for their strength this year, and wish everyone a Happy New Year and a better, brighter 2022.”
