Happy Diwali

All around the world today, Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and Buddhist communities will celebrate Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas.

This is a wonderful time for many communities in Ontario where we celebrate the festival of lights and the triumph of good over evil.

While celebrations in Ontario will be different this year due to social distancing, I know that we can still come together remotely to celebrate the power of hope and knowledge.

Ontario is home to strong communities that show off the power of diversity. Ontarians of the Hindu, Sikh, Jain and Buddhist faiths have greatly contributed to the fabric of our province. Their contributions, particularly during the pandemic, have built our province up.

On behalf of the Ontario Liberal Party and my family, I want to wish all those celebrating a happy Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas.
