Liberals in Haliburton–Kawartha Lakes–Brock Nominate Donald McBey as their Ontario Liberal Candidate

April 19, 2022 – Liberals in Haliburton–Kawartha Lakes–Brock have nominated Donald McBey, a strong community leader, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“Donald is a proven fighter who has a passion for making his community a better place for everyone,” said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “Donald will be a fantastic MPP and I am very happy to have him on our team.”

Donald McBey has built his career on medical, legal and community advocacy, and was most recently the Vice-Chair of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal.

McBey wants to use his skills and experience to empower the people of Haliburton–Kawartha Lakes–Brock and deliver real results that will make life more affordable, while restoring trust in government and predictability in their daily lives.

“After the last few disorienting years, our communities need a strong representative to empower our transition toward a post-pandemic recovery,” said McBey. “I am committed to listening to your choices and challenges and advocating strongly on your behalf for better health care, schools, housing, and restored business and workplace predictability.”
