QUEEN’S PARK – John Fraser, Interim Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party and MPP for Ottawa South, has released the following statement:
“Every day, we learn something new about Premier Ford’s $8.3 Billion backroom deal.
“Every day, it becomes clearer that all roads in this Greenbelt scandal lead back to the Premier’s office.
“Last week, we learned the Premier appointed a developer’s sibling as the vice chair of the Greenbelt Foundation – an organization whose job it is to protect the Greenbelt.
“We know that Ryan Amato, the former Chief of Staff to the Minister of Housing, was hand-picked by the Premier’s Office.
“And we know that the Premier’s former Chief of Staff was working with an unregistered lobbyist, who was handing brown envelopes to Ford’s staffers.
“It’s crystal clear what is going on here.
“The Premier is trying very hard to distract Ontarians — promising magical $500,000 homes and claiming our educators are ‘indoctrinating’ our children.
“When the Premier goes low, he really goes low.”
