Ford can’t get it done on affordability, Ford Minister admits

Minister Surma admits “everything is more expensive”

TORONTO, ON—Following a damning Auditor General’s report into massive cost increases on the mega spa scam, Doug Ford’s top minister admits they know life is unaffordable for you, but they just don’t care enough to get anything done.

Doug Ford’s hand-picked Minister, Kinga Surma, admits, “We know that everything is more expensive. We know that projects are more expensive. This is something my Ministry fails with.”

“Minister Surma should resign over the $2.2 billion mega spa scam. It’s further evidence that Doug cannot get it done for the real people of Ontario,” said Bonnie Crombie. “Doug Ford spends all of his time focused on catering to his rich buddies, as life gets more expensive for regular people in Ontario. That’s why I’ll cut your taxes to save the average family $1,150 per year.”

This summer, Team Bonnie sounded the alarm that Doug’s sweetheart Mega Spa Mega Scam would cost Ontario taxpayers billions of dollars more than he claimed. The Auditor General validated the project will cost far more than the Ford government admits, all to benefit a foreign company.

“Ford clearly can’t deliver existing projects on time or on budget and now he wants to waste tens of billions of your tax dollars tearing up Highway 401 to build a tunnel. Enough is enough. We have to get the basics right. I will not build a tunnel under the 401, but I will do practical things to deliver more for you, like getting you a family doctor and cutting your taxes,” Crombie said.
