Ford and Jones Must End their Evasion and Testify in the Emergencies Act Inquiry: MPP Fraser

OTTAWA, ON – John Fraser, MPP for Ottawa South and Interim Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party, has released the following statement:

“Accountability has never been at the top of Premier Ford’s agenda, so it’s not surprising that both he and Minister Jones are refusing to appear before the Emergencies Act Inquiry – even after they have been summoned to testify.

“By testifying, Ford and Jones will have an opportunity to explain to residents why they allowed the occupation to spiral out of control, and apologize for their inaction.

“Challenging the summons is the wrong thing to do.”
