Notice of Annual General Meeting
Eglinton Lawrence Provincial Liberal Association

NOTICE is hereby given of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the constituency association of Eglinton Lawrence to elect the Executive Officers and to conduct the annual business of the Association.

Virtual

 Elections will take place for the following positions on the association executive: 

  1. a)       President
  2. b)       Vice-President
  3. c)       Secretary
  4. d)       Treasurer
  5. e)       Directors (20)

Eligibility to Vote (Membership Cutoff) 

You are eligible to vote at this AGM if you are: 

  1. A resident of the provincial electoral district of Eglinton Lawrence who is a member of the Ontario Liberal Party at 5:00 PM on January 12th, 2023; or
  2. A non-resident member of the association who has been a member continuously since November 18, 2016. 

Registration for Voting 

To register to vote, please reply to this email (or directly emailing [email protected]) attaching a scan or a photo of your identification by January 12th, 2023 at 5 PM. Identification can be: 

Option 1: ONE government-issued ID with your photo, name and current address. (examples: driver’s licence, Ontario photo card) 

Option 2: TWO pieces of ID 

  • one issued by a widely recognized major institution (governments, financial documents) AND 
  • one issued by a widely recognized major institution showing your name and your current address (e.g. bank or credit card statement, utility bill, tax assessment) 

Note – If you have successfully registered to vote at a nomination that took place on or after September 1, 2020, or if you are a current monthly donor to the Ontario Liberal Party (or a Provincial Liberal Association), you are not required to submit your ID again. However you must still send an email to [email protected], with your name and residential address, to register your intention to vote.

Standing for a Position on the Provincial Liberal Association Executive 

If you are interested to stand for any of the above positions, you must notify the Secretary of the Ontario Liberal Party in writing of your intention to stand by sending an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Intention to stand – Eglinton Lawrence” by no later than 5:00 PM on January 12th, 2023. Your email must indicate which position you would like to stand for. In your email, you may include a brief write-up and/or a photo to be circulated to voting members. The write-up shall be no more than 300 words, may be a message to members or a biography, and may include your contact information (including links to social media or webpage). The photo must be no larger than 1MB and may be cropped/scaled down by staff before distribution.
