Beginners are welcome. The overall goal of the event is to develop the fundraising skills in each PLA to be well-prepared for the future.

This day intensive will go beyond the traditional fundraising basics of contribution limits, tax credits, and intro to fundraising 101. Participants will gain confidence and motivation to fundraise in their PLAs and community. Experienced fundraisers will share tips and tricks, interactive breakout groups with “sample events” for participants, and lots and lots of helpful templates. Featuring expert discussions and advice from Harry Mortimer, MBA, CPAOperating PartnerMortimer Kostioutchenko Patel Chartered Professional Accountants LLP.

Topics will include:

·        Creating a fundraising plan (i.e. budgeting).

·        Building a fundraising team.

·        Planning a ticketed fundraiser.

·        Expanding the “Future Fund” program in your area.

·        Increasing the average of “Future fund” contributions.

·        Email solicitations.

·        Building the volunteer base for the fundraising team.

·        Coaching the “Ask” for $3,375 contributions.

·        Phone banking for fundraising.

·        Mailouts for fundraising.
