TORONTO – Ontario Liberal Leader, Steven Del Duca issued the following statement:
“Today’s report from the Financial Accountability Officer of Ontario shows a government and a Premier asleep at the wheel. Doug Ford left billions in COVID-19 funding unspent, and now we’ve learned only 15 per cent of that funding was from the province.
Only two per cent of funding went towards education, even as six schools are closed because of fourth wave outbreaks. Just like he did with rapid testing, Ford is putting big business ahead of our children’s safety.”
