Doug Ford discovers Milton on a map

QUEEN’S PARK — Doug Ford and his Conservatives have a long history of opposing two-way all-day GO service for Milton. 

“Don’t be surprised by today’s abrupt change of heart, Doug is only doing it for himself. This riding has had a Conservative MPP since 2018 and it’s only now, when this seat is at risk, that Doug Ford has managed to find Milton on the map,” said Galen Naidoo Harris, Ontario Liberal candidate for Milton. 

In 2020, Ford also cancelled upgrades to the Milton station and promised to build a second GO station near Trafalgar and Derry Road, which has turned into another empty promise after years of taking no further action. 

“For years, both Bonnie Crombie and I have fought alongside Milton residents for better transit, including two-way, all-day GO train service so families can spend less time in gridlock and more time at home,” continued Naidoo Harris. “Only Bonnie and the Ontario Liberals are committed to upgrading the existing station, delivering a second GO station and of course making two-way, all-day GO trains a reality in Milton.”
