In 2025, the contribution limit to registered provincial political parties in Ontario is $3,400.
All Ontarians are eligible for generous refundable tax credits when they make provincial political contributions, payable to the contributor whether or not they have taxable income. The amount of your tax credit depends on how much you give:
- 75% on the first $500.05 of donations;
- 50% on the portion of your donation between $500.06 and $1,666.82;
- 33.33% on the portion above $1,666.82.
- Maximum tax credit is $1,666.82
