TORONTO – Ontario Liberal Leader, Steven Del Duca issued the following statement:
“My heart goes out to the families who experienced illness and even death waiting for Doug Ford to start listening to the Science Table. It’s unacceptable it took this long.
I’m happy action is being taken, but I’m appalled that people suffering wasn’t enough to compel Doug Ford to act sooner. When will he start acting urgently on expert advice instead of dithering and delaying?
Too many families have tragically suffered in our hardest hit communities, without any meaningful support from Doug Ford. They deserve so much better. If I’m elected Premier, I will act swiftly on expert advice so this never happens again.”
