Business Leader and Community Advocate Ron Fox Nominated as Ontario Liberal Candidate in Brantford—Brant

BRANTFORD, ON – Ron Fox, business leader and long-time community advocate, has been officially nominated as the Ontario Liberal candidate for Brantford—Brant.

“From a record affordability crisis that’s driven up the cost of living, to the family doctor shortage that’s left millions without access to primary care, Doug Ford has shown that he just can’t get it done for the people of Brantford—Brant.

“As a longtime community advocate with deep knowledge of his community, I know that Ron Fox is the representative that is needed to get Brantford—Brant back on track.

“Together, we’ll cut your taxes, make life affordable again and ensure that you and your family have access to the care that you need, when and where you need it. I’m delighted to announce that Ron is officially your Ontario Liberal candidate for Brantford—Brant!”

— Bonnie Crombie, Leader of Ontario’s Liberals

“Life feels unaffordable right now for many people in our community. Some people blame inflation, but when corporations are posting record profits on their earnings calls, that’s not inflation. That’s greed. And Doug Ford would rather take care of these large corporations, developers and insiders than everyday people.

“We need smaller class sizes in our schools and proper funding for our education system. Anything less than that is a failure to our children.

“Our health care workers take care of our families, they deserve to be treated like the heroes they are. Here in Brantford—Brant, we desperately need a new hospital. We need all levels of government working together to make that happen.

“We deserve better. Brantford—Brant deserves better. Together, with Bonnie Crombie’s team we will prioritize your family, make life more affordable for you, and fight for what matters most to you and your loved ones.”

— Ron Fox, Ontario Liberal Candidate for Brantford—Brant

Ron Fox has a deep connection to Brantford—Brant, with a diverse background in both business and community service. Currently a realtor with Royal LePage Action Realty, Ron has over 20 years of experience as a Tim Hortons franchisee, where he also served as President of the Alliance of Canadian Franchisees.

His time running Tim Hortons provided him with a unique and valuable perspective on the community, as the restaurants acted as informal town halls where he heard directly from people of all walks of life—teenagers, families, retirees—about their hopes, concerns, and needs. This experience was a key motivator for Ron to enter politics, with the goal of making a positive impact in the lives of those he listened to over the years.

In addition to his political aspirations, Ron is committed to giving back to his community. He supports local organizations such as Brant Food for Thought and the Brantford Food Bank, and he regularly attends community events in Brantford—Brant. With strong roots in the area, where he was raised and attended local schools, Ron is dedicated to working for the people of Brantford—Brant.

Ron lives in Brantford with his wife of over 19 years, Jill, a teacher with the Grand Erie District School Board (GEDSB), and their three children.
