QUEEN’S PARK — Bonnie Crombie, Leader of Ontario’s Liberals, has released the following statement:
“This legislative session, Doug Ford has done nothing on housing. Nothing on health care. and nothing on education.
“Instead, Doug Ford handed over $1-billion of your money to Loblaws, Walmart, 7-11 and the multinational beer companies just to get booze in big box stores one year earlier than it was already scheduled.
“What kind of leader prioritizes this when you can’t get a family doctor? Who prioritizes this when your grocery bill is through the roof or you are scraping together to make rent?
“The answer is clear. Doug Ford is not in this for you. He never was.
“He’s the reverse Robin Hood: he’s taking from YOU, to give to his rich friends.
“Just look at his ‘band of Merry Men’ at the LCBO. Both the Chair and Vice-Chair are top donors to the Ontario PC Party.
“Ontario’s Liberals are going to spend the entire summer not just fighting for you, but fighting with you, shoulder to shoulder. Because the people of Ontario deserve better. And it’s time for change.”
