Statement from Steven Del Duca on Threats Against a Toronto Mosque

TORONTO – Steven Del Duca, Leader of the Ontario Liberals, made the following statement:

“This past weekend, threats and hateful comments were made against a Toronto Mosque. I condemn these xenophobic actions in Toronto, along with all other cases of hateful bigotry towards Muslims in Ontario. ”

“Islamophobia has no place in our province or country.  I am glad to see that Toronto Mayor John Tory is taking the issue seriously and has confirmed with the Toronto Chief of Police that this will be investigated and addressed promptly.”

“We all share a common duty to stand up for one another and speak out against Islamophobia, or any other kind of xenophobic comments.”
