Statement from Steven Del Duca for Mental Health Week

This year, more than ever before, we need to come together to spread awareness about the importance of mental health.

The Canadian Mental Health Association has led Mental Health Week for many years with an aim to destigmatize the conversation.

We need to be open about how we feel, and we need to be open about the challenges we face. No one should suffer in silence.

I know many Ontarians are having a difficult time right now. COVID-19 is making bad situations, worse. We need to make mental health care accessible now more than ever before.

Above all else let’s remember all of us know someone who is struggling. Now is an especially critical time for us to display compassion and care. Let’s work together to ensure everyone has access to the resources they need, not just this year, but always.
