Ontario’s Liberals Start Nominating Candidates

TORONTO, ON – Building on the momentum created by new Leader, Bonnie Crombie, Ontario’s Liberals have begun preparations to fight an election in every riding across Ontario—whether that’s in October 2024, June 2026 or any point in between.

This evening, John Fraser, MPP for Ottawa South, will become the first nominated candidate to join the team leading the fight against the Ford Conservatives.

Nominations for the rest of the Ontario Liberal caucus and Liberals in ridings across Ontario will continue throughout the Summer and into the Fall.

“We will be ready to fight for the people of Ontario against Doug Ford’s rich friends and insiders, whenever the Conservatives choose to call the next election. I don’t think the people of Ontario will reward Doug Ford for a snap election call, and we will be ready to present a clear choice and a vision for Ontario that’s about putting people first—not wealthy Conservative insiders.”
