CARLETON PLACE, ON – Bonnie Crombie, Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party, visited Ottawa, Almonte and Carleton Place this past weekend to meet with farmers, elected officials, small business owners, housing advocates and local Liberals.
“In Ottawa, I heard from housing advocates how Doug Ford has failed to act to make housing affordable. From business owners in Orléans and Almonte, I heard about the challenges they’re facing. And in Lanark County, I heard from elected officials and farmers how much more they need from a government that too often gives them the cold shoulder rather than investing in rural infrastructure.
“I am committed to working with Ottawa — a city Doug Ford has repeatedly abandoned — and with our rural small towns across Eastern Ontario to deliver the economic growth and strong public services people need to live a better life.”
– Bonnie Crombie, Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party and former Mayor of Mississauga
Crombie toured small businesses with MPP Stephen Blais (Orléans), met with housing advocates alongside Blais and MPP Lucille Collard (Ottawa—Vanier), and wrapped up her visit with a sold-out fundraiser of over a hundred supporters donating $250 each in Carleton Place, alongside MPP John Fraser (Ottawa—South).
