Liberals in Brantford—Brant Nominate Ruby Toor as 2022 Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

March 23, 2022 – Liberals in Brantford—Brant have nominated Ruby Toor, a health and elder care advocate, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“Ruby has demonstrated her passion for health care and community for decades,” said OLP Leader Steven Del Duca. “Her expertise and passion will be key as we build a stronger, more resilient health and elder care system.”

Toor immigrated to Canada with her husband in the 1970s and has resided in Brantford—Brant for nearly thirty years. While serving as the executive director of a retirement home in the community, she also serves as the president of the Canadian Association of Retired Person Chapter 17 and a board member of Brant United Way as well as Brant County Board of Health.

Outside of work, she devotes her time to many charitable organizations including the Alzheimer Society, the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She has a Bachelor of Science and a Degree in Gerontology from McMaster University.

“I am passionate about children and seniors’ health, safety and well-being,” said Toor. “We need a recovery that puts our community’s well being first. As a proud member of the Ontario Liberal team I will fight everyday for Brantford—Brant.”
