Liberals in Kitchener Centre Nominate Kelly Steiss as 2022 Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

January 27, 2022 – Liberals in Kitchener Centre have nominated Kelly Steiss, a management professional and community advocate, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“Kelly has decades of experience serving residents in Kitchener, and truly understands what it takes to be a fantastic representative for her community,” said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “I am very happy to have Kelly on our team as we prepare to take on Doug Ford.”

Kelly Steiss has over 20 years of municipal government experience serving the residents of Kitchener. Leading multiple staff teams that support the work of engaging and connecting with residents, Steiss knows what it means to commit to public service, and brings strong leadership, community connections and relationships to her role.

As a volunteer, Steiss has a long-standing track record of helping individuals and organizations understand and develop their potential. She has been recruited to sit on Boards of Directors, including Focus for Ethnic Women and Independent Living Waterloo Region, is the President of the Waterloo Rotary Club, and was a member of the Mayor’s Task Force on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

“Strong leadership is needed to address the social and economic health of our communities and our province,” said Steiss. “Progressive ideas and an innovative approach will move us forward and I look forward to leading this movement.”
