Statement from Steven Del Duca on the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

Today, Steven Del Duca, Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party, released the following statement:

“Today, on the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, we remember the 14 young women who were murdered during the attack at École Polytechnique de Montréal, and continue our commitment to fighting misogyny, hatred, and ending gender-based violence.

On this day and every day, we must commit to building a better, more inclusive society, and that means working together, listening to and supporting survivors, and ensuring women’s organizations have the resources they need.

On behalf of myself and the Ontario Liberal Party, I commit to working with all Ontarians towards an Ontario where everyone can feel safe, and towards the elimination of gender-based violence.”
