Ontario Liberals Commit to Two-Way All-Day Milton GO Transit

TORONTO – Only Ontario Liberals will deliver Two-Way All-Day Milton GO service if elected in 2022. They will match federal funding to deliver the expanded service every day, from Union through Mississauga to Milton.

Under the proposed Ontario Liberal expansion, commuters in Milton and Mississauga would have access to GO trains both ways every 15 minutes during rush hour and every 30 minutes during off-peak hours, including on weekends.

“The people of Milton and Mississauga deserve a real plan for more frequent, less congested public transit,” said Ontario Liberal Leader, Steven Del Duca. “They have waited too long for this much needed transit relief.”

The Milton GO corridor is the third busiest GO Transit corridor, and yet it still only runs in the morning and evening. Del Duca says it should run all day, every day.

“While Doug Ford is wasting as much as $10 billion on Highway 413, which will provide no relief for commuters and accelerate the climate crisis, Ontario Liberals are offering real transit solutions,” added Del Duca, while announcing the plan alongside the Party’s fully-nominated team of Mississauga and Milton candidates.
