Statement from Steven Del Duca on Passover

Today, Jewish people in Ontario and around the world will celebrate Passover, a timeless 8-day tradition that celebrates freedom from oppression and slavery.

For the second year in a row, Passover celebrations will be different than they would normally be because of the pandemic. I know that this isn’t easy because, of course, everyone celebrating would much rather be with family and friends. Now more than ever, though, let’s remember that we’re in this together and that we will come out on the other side of this struggle even stronger than we were before. I have no doubt that better days are ahead for all of us.

On behalf of the Ontario Liberal Party, I wish you and your families a happy and safe Passover.

Chag Pesach Sameach!
