Statement from Steven Del Duca on the One Year Anniversary of the Ukrainian Flight 752 Tragedy

Steven Del Duca, Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party, issued the following statement:

“One year ago today, 176 innocent people tragically lost their lives when Ukraine Flight 752 was shot down by the Iranian regime shortly after takeoff. One hundred and thirty eight of the passengers were on their way to Canada.

My heart continues to ache for the families of those who perished, and I will always stand with them as they grieve. I will do whatever I can to support them and our federal government as they pursue justice. The perpetrators of this vile act must be held accountable for their actions.

The pain inflicted in this attack can never be undone or forgotten, and January 8 will live on forever as a day of mourning in Canada.

May they rest in peace and never be forgotten.”
