Summer Fling is an annual policy conference held by the OYL and YLC(O), where Young Liberals from across the province come together for a weekend of partisan fun! This Summer Fling is unique in the sense that the federal election falls only months later, giving participants the opportunity to participate in relevant policy sessions, training seminars, and networking with colleagues from across the province to support their 2019 Team Trudeau candidates.
This year’s Summer Fling is being held at Carleton University in Ottawa. Carleton is in a central location for students and provides several options for food and fun—not to mention that it’s in Catherine McKenna’s riding of Ottawa Centre! Options for registration include the conference with no accommodations ($50), quad accommodations (room shared with yourself and three other guests over two nights for $110 per delegate, with the conference registration included in the price), double accommodations (room shared with yourself and one other guest over two nights for $240 per delegate, with the conference registration included in the price), and single accommodations (room to yourself over two nights for $425 per delegate, with the conference registration included in the price). Plus, if you are a Youth Red Trillium Club member you receive a discount of $40 on your selected rate, (or $20 for FLY donors). Stay tuned in the coming weeks for a detailed itinerary of the weekend!
Registration closes by August 8 and space fills up quickly, so register early to secure your spot this year!
