Liberals in Richmond Hill Nominate Roozbeh Farhadi as 2022 Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

October 1, 2021 – Liberals in Richmond Hill have nominated Roozbeh Farhadi, a Small Business Development Manager and community advocate, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“For years, Roozbeh has been a strong advocate for those living in Richmond Hill, and has done an incredible job of helping his community reach its full potential,” said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “Roozbeh will be a fantastic MPP, and I am very happy to have him on our team as we take on Doug Ford in the next provincial election.”

An avid volunteer and community organizer, Farhadi has focused on helping new-immigrants and youth adjust to their new lives. He believes that strong families make strong communities. Whether it was through resume workshops, translation work, or providing more networking opportunities for Iranian-Canadians in the financial sector, Roozbeh has consistently been someone that can be counted on.

With over 15 years of experience in the financial sector, Farhadi understands the impact thriving businesses and families have on the local economy. He currently works at one of the top 5 banks in Canada, advising and supporting small businesses.

“I am thrilled to be nominated as the Ontario Liberal Party’s candidate for Richmond Hill,” said Farhadi. “I will work as hard as I can to earn the confidence of the residents in Richmond Hill and to become their trusted champion at Queen’s Park. I will fight to make sure we have the best access to health care, education, and seniors care so that every person has the opportunity to thrive and that our small businesses are supported as we recover from this pandemic.”
