Liberals in Niagara West Nominate Doug Joyner as their Ontario Liberal Candidate

April 21, 2022 – Liberals in Niagara West have nominated Doug Joyner, the former Mayor of West Lincoln, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“Doug is a proven leader who has spent decades fighting for the residents of his community,” said OLP Leader Steven Del Duca. “He will be a fantastic MPP and a strong voice for Niagara West at Queen’s Park.”

From 2010-2018, Joyner served two terms as the Mayor of the Township of West Lincoln and the Niagara Regional Councillor representing his community. He dedicated much of his time as Regional Councillor in bringing strategic leadership to various standing committees, including serving as Chair of the Niagara Region Cultural Advisory Committee and Co-Chair of Public Health and Social Services. He was also a committee member of the Council for Accessibility, Planning and Development, Public Works, Agricultural Policy and Action, and the Niagara Investment in Culture Panel.

“I am honored to be given the opportunity to be the Ontario Liberal candidate for Niagara West,” said Joyner. “As MPP, I will fight everyday to represent all constituents in our community at Queen’s Park.”
