Liberals in Markham—Stouffville Nominate Kelly Dunn as 2022 Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

January 15, 2022 – Liberals in Markham—Stouffville have nominated Kelly Dunn, a teacher and community leader, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“As a teacher, Kelly understands the importance of making our schools safer, and providing our children with the best education possible,” said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “With Kelly as their MPP, families in Markham—Stouffville will have someone fighting for them at Queen’s Park.”

Dunn has been a high school history teacher for over 20 years and lives in Markham with her husband and three children. As a teacher and a parent, education is of particular importance to Dunn, especially when it comes to providing support for students with learning disabilities. Dunn is also passionate about creating a long-term care system that will allow people to age with dignity and compassion.

“I’m excited and proud to be the Liberal candidate for Markham—Stouffville,” said Dunn. “We need to ensure that our community grows in a sustainable and equitable way for all residents. We have work to do and I look forward to getting the job done.”
