Liberals in Beaches-East York Nominate Mary-Margaret McMahon as 2022 Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

Liberals in Beaches-East York have nominated Mary-Margaret McMahon, a two-term Toronto City Councillor and environmental champion, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“Mary-Margaret’s track record of achievement, along with her passion for her community and the environment, will make her an excellent Member of Provincial Parliament for Beaches-East York,” said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “I’m very happy to have Mary-Margaret on our team as we get ready to take on Doug Ford in the next election.”

Born and raised in Collingwood, McMahon has called Beaches-East York home for almost three decades and has been delighted to raise her family here. Her track record of community change includes leading policies that create more affordable housing,  expand and promote active transportation, and implement climate change measures. She is a founding member of the Danforth East Community Association and the cherished East Lynn Park Farmers’ Market.

“I look forward to bringing Beaches-East York residents together to help build a more sustainable and connected community where every voice is heard, represented, and championed,” said McMahon.
